A variety of professional equipment for video and sound recording is available.
\nIt is available free of charge for classes and assignments for the digital atelier classes. (A fee will be charged for
\nresearch use.)
\nWe do not offer equipment rentals for assignments for classes other than digital atelier classes, for club activities,
\nor for individual use.<\/p>\n

Usage Fee<\/h3>\n

There is no charge for the use of the equipment for the digital atelier classes.
\nIn the case of research use, the fee will be charged by internal transfer.
\nPlease check \u300cPrice List\u300d <\/a> for equipment rental prices.<\/p>\n

Equipment Rental Procedure<\/h3>\n

(1) Check availability<\/p>\n

\u2460 For Research Use<\/strong>
\nPlease visit the “Research Equipment Usage Site”<\/a>, select the equipment you wish to use, and check the reservation status (rental equipment status) for the date and time you wish to use the equipment.<\/p>\n

\u2461 For Class Use<\/strong>
\nPlease check the rental equipment status (current number) on the “List of Rental Equipment”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

(2) Apply
\nFill out the “Media Design Laboratory Equipment Rental Application”<\/a> form to apply for use. (Please log in to MyWaseda.)<\/p>\n

(3)Confirm application
\nMedia Design Laboratory will confirm your application details and contact you.<\/p>\n

Notes on equipment rental<\/h3>\n

  • Please apply for use within 7 days.<\/li>\n
  • Applications are not accepted during August, September, and March as the facility is closed.
    \nApplication form for spring semester,Please apply by July 15th.
    \nApplication form for fall semester,Please apply by February 10th.<\/li>\n
  • Some equipment, such as digital SLRs and interchangeable lenses, are for class use only and cannot be rented out
    \nfor research purposes.<\/li>\n
  • The maximum period of use is one week, including the rental date and return date.<\/li>\n
  • If you wish to use the equipment on Saturday, Sunday and holidays, please rent it before the last opening day.<\/li>\n
  • The rental period may be limited or you may be asked to return the book before the scheduled date (may be asked
    \nduring the rental period) depending on the planned use in class.<\/li>\n
  • Only the person listed in the user column will be allowed to return the item on behalf of the person.<\/li>\n
  • Please be sure to check if any of the rental equipment is missing before returning it.<\/li>\n
  • Please keep your equipment under strict control and take the utmost care not to damage or lose it.<\/li>\n
  • You may be charged for repairs if there is any failure or damage that was caused by willful or gross negligence.<\/li>\n
  • Any inappropriate use may result in the suspension of further rentals.<\/li>\n
