What is Maple<\/h3>\n

Maple is a math software which includes functions to find solution of simultaneous equation and differential equation, numerical caluculations, interactive glaphic functions.
\nPlease see below for more information.<\/p>\n

License Types<\/h3>\n

There are two licenses for Maple.
\nFor each license, please obtain the “Installer” and “Purchase Code” from the Download Station.
\nWhen using the licensed software, please be sure to read and comply with the Terms of Use and Pledge.<\/p>\n

(1)Education\/Research License<\/h4>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Qualifications<\/th>\nFaculty members belonging to the Faculty of Science and Engineering<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Installable PC<\/th>\nOnly university-owned PCs installed at the following campuses managed by the Faculty of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n

\nNishi-waseda Campus, Kikui-cho Campus, Kagami Memorial Institute for Materials Research, Center for Advanced Biomedical Sciences (for Waseda University laboratories only), Building 120\/121, Kitakyushu Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u203bOther campuses\/laboratories, such as the Waseda campus, are not eligible for this service.<\/p>\n

\u203bSince the total number of licenses is 10,000 for the University-wide system, if the limit is reached, the system will not be available.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

        \nAuthorization to download the “installer” and “serial key” from the DownloadStation will be provided to the student.<\/p>\n

        Site License Terms of Use
        \nIt is available under the following conditions:
        \n(1)Education\/Research License<\/p>\n

        Only faculty members belonging to the Faculty of Science and Engineering can apply.
        \nThis license is for educational and non-commercial research purposes only. Business use (office work, operations related to university administration, etc.) and commercial use including part-time jobs and interns, is not permitted.
        \nThis service is only available on the university-owned computers at the following campuses managed by the Faculty of Science and Engineering.<\/p>\n

        \nIf you need it for research or other purposes, please purchase a license at your laboratory.<\/p>\n

        This license is for self-study purposes only. It cannot be used for business purposes (office work, operations related to university administration, etc.).
        \nEach person may install the software on up to one personal PC.
        \nSince the license is for a single year, it needs to be renewed every March.<\/p>\n

        Version
        \n\u203bOnly faculty members are provided with the “Latest version” and “Previous version”.
        \n\u203bWe only provide students with “Previous version” that have been tested by the faculty.
        \nDownload
        \n(1)Off-campus access
        \nTo use the Download Station from off-campus, a VPN connection is required.
        \nFor more information about VPN connection, please refer to the following web page.

        \u203bCurrently, the load on the VPN device is high due to the influence of the Novel Coronavirus, and there are cases where the VPN connection cannot be made, or the connection is cut off in the middle.
        \nIf the VPN connection doesn’t work, try using a VPN connection and software download at night when there are few users.<\/p>\n

        (2)DownloadStation
        \nAfter logging in to MyWaseda, please follow the steps below to access the DownloadStation.<\/p>\n

        MyWaseda \u2192 Global menu\u300cIT Services\u300d \u2192 Left side menu [Available Software] > [Download Station]
        \nFrom the DownloadStation screen, select the software you wish to use.<\/p>\n

        \u203bPlease contact us from the contact information for the following cases.<\/p>\n

        The installer you downloaded at Download Station has expired and you want to download it again.
        \nYou have changed your PC and want to install SOLIDWORKS again on your new PC.<\/p>\n

        \u203bThe list of software displayed in the list differs depending on affiliation and qualification.
        \n\u203bClick on the “Select” button to download the authentication program (Maple installer).
        \n\u203bClick on the “Help” button to download the installation manual.
        \n\u203bIf you are a faculty member, please apply for the use of the software from \u201cUse of comprehensive software for faculty members\u201d and it will be available after approval.
        \n(3)If the download fails
        \nPlease use the Downloader (\u203b) to try the download.
        \n\u203bIt is a tool that specializes in downloading authentication programs.
        \n\u203bPlease use this if you have run the download several times and it fails with no improvement, or if the download cannot be completed due to a network disconnect.
        \n\u203bOnly the Windows version is available.
        \nPlease refer to the following for information on how to obtain\/install and use the Downloader.<\/p>\n

        Please access the following URL.

        \nTry installing from “DS_Downloader_Win_999101.exe” which is saved in the “Software” folder.<\/p>\n

        Install
        \n(1)Run an authentication program
        \nRun the downloaded \u201cAuthentication Program\u201d and enter the authentication program number and password.
        \nWhen you press the \u201cRun\u201d button, you will get a \u201cserial number\u201d for the installation.
        \n(2)Installing Maple
        \nWhen the Maple installation screen appears, please follow the steps to complete the installation.
        \nTo activate, enter the “Purchase Code” at the end.
        \nUpdate<\/p>\n

        Faculty
        \nPlease get the purchase code for the update from DownloadStation.
        \n\u203bPlease refer to the manual uploaded to DownloadStation for the update procedure.
        \nStudent
        \nTo renew your license, you will need to uninstall the software and install it again.
        \nAfter uninstallation, please obtain the installer from DownloadStation and newly install the software.<\/p>\n
