At the end of February 2024, the Multimedia Studio will no longer be available for recording on-demand classes. Faculties wishing to record on-demand classes after March 1, 2024 should use the studio in Building 26 on the Waseda Campus.
\nThe Multimedia Studio will continue to be available for research use. However, due to equipment reorganization, the studio will be unavailable during March 2024.
\nAs for the Recording Booth, it will remain available as before after March 1, 2024.

The Multimedia Studio has excellent sound insulation and is equipped with full-fledged filming equipment.
\nIt is suitable for audio recording, audio recording, acoustic measurement, and acoustic experiments.
\nThe Recording Booth has a simple soundproofing capability and is equipped with a laptop for on-demand class production.
\nYou can record on-demand classes, dubbing and narration by yourself. (Additional equipment is required for voice recording.)<\/p>\n

\u203b Studio and booth are not available on university administration break period and examination period.<\/p>\n

\u203b We accept the use of Multimedia Studio on Sundays and Holidays for research use (available for a
\ncharge) . You need to reserve in advance and have your reservation number ready.<\/p>\n

\u203b Please allow time to prepare and clean up within the time.<\/p>\n

Usage Fee (On-campus viewing only)<\/h3>\n

Please check \u300cPrice List\u300d (Accessible only from on-campus) <\/a> for
\nMultimedia Studio usage fee (for research use).<\/p>\n

\u203b There is no fee for the use of the Multimedia Studio for digital atelier class and assignment.<\/p>\n

\u203b Recording Booth is available free of charge for research use.<\/p>\n

\u203b You cannot use the studio and booth for the Non-digital atelier class assignment , club activities, and
\npersonal use.<\/p>\n

How to apply for Multimedia Studio\uff0fRecording Booth<\/h3>\n

(1)Check availability
\nPlease visit the “Research Equipment Usage Site”<\/a>, select “Multimedia Studio(available for research use only)
\n” or “Recording Booth”, and check the reservation status for the date and time you wish to use the facility.<\/p>\n

(2)Apply
\nTo apply, please fill in \u300cMultimedia Studio\uff0fRecording Booth Application Form\u300d<\/a>. (Please log in to MyWaseda.)<\/p>\n

(3)Confirm application
\nMedia Design Laboratory will confirm your application details and contact you.<\/p>\n

Notes on using Multimedia Studio\uff0fRecording Booth<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Please apply for use within 7 days.<\/li>\n
  • Applications are not accepted during August, September, and March as the facility is closed.
    \nApplication form for August and September,Please apply by July 15th.
    \nApplication form for March,Please apply by February 10th.<\/li>\n
  • Reservation changes and cancellation must be completed by 16pm of the day before the reservation date. Please note
    \nthat we might not be able to meet your request due to availability or studio staff schedule.<\/li>\n
  • You need to lend \/ return the key at the front gate of the Nishi-Waseda Campus when using the studio. (For class
    \nand research use)<\/li>\n
  • Please clean up the room and return the equipment to its original position after use.<\/li>\n
  • You could be charged if the facilities and equipment are damaged.<\/li>\n
  • Smoking, drinking or eating is not permitted in the studio and recording booth.<\/li>\n
  • Any act imposing trouble on the others and anything which is contrary to public order or morality is prohibited.<\/li>\n
