{"id":2343,"date":"2021-12-20T14:26:41","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T05:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/mse\/web\/eng\/?p=2343"},"modified":"2024-03-05T11:14:20","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T02:14:20","slug":"7476","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/info.mse.waseda.ac.jp\/eng\/2021\/12\/20\/7476\/","title":{"rendered":"About the OS environment (Windows) of personally-owned PCs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In October 2021, Microsoft released &#8220;Windows 11&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that although many students may be considering &#8220;purchasing a Windows 11 PC&#8221; or &#8220;upgrading to Windows 11&#8221;, the PC room at the university is planned to continue using &#8220;Windows 10&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"link_square\">\u2605Verified environment for each service and system provided by Waseda University<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/navi\/services\/system\/sys_requirements.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/navi\/services\/system\/sys_requirements.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university may not be able to provide support for environments that have not been verified, including Windows 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university recommends that you continue to use Windows 10 for the time being, although it is not mandatory.<br>If you are using an environment other than the verified environment, please be sure to understand the above points before using the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"txi\">\u203bFor the verification status of software used uniquely by each faculty or department, please contact directly to each faculty or department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"txi\">\u203bSome students have already upgraded to &#8220;Windows 11&#8221; and are experiencing difficulties in their classes, self-study, and research activities.
